Services
ADAS provides the following services in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation 49 CFR Part 40:

Initial Assessment and Evaluation

ADAS will provide a comprehensive face-to-face assessment and clinical evaluation to determine what level of assistance the employee needs in resolving problems associated with alcohol use or prohibited drug use.

Referral

ADAS will recommend a course of education and/or treatment with which the employee must demonstrate successful compliance prior to returning to DOT safe-sensitive duty. The SAP will facilitate the referral by making contact with the recommended program. The SAP will transmit the treatment plan to the treatment provider.

Follow-Up Evaluation

ADAS will conduct a face-to-face follow-up clinical evaluation with the employee to determine if the individual has demonstrated successful compliance or non-compliance with the recommendations of the initial evaluation as demonstrated by education and/or treatment effort, behavioral changes, and plans for continued treatment plan follow through as well as return-to-duty and follow-up testing procedures.

Follow-Up Testing Plan

ADAS will present the employer a plan for the employee's required participation in the follow-up testing program, i.e. the recommended number of tests and the frequency of the tests during the first year.

ADAS believes that every individual is capable of living a content, fulfilling and healthy life without a mind altering substance. ADAS provides the following services to the community in order to establish and maintain such a lifestyle:

Substance abuse assessments with developed treatment and recovery plans, tailored to the client's goals, including referrals to service providers when indicated.

Individual counseling for clients and for family members affected by a loved one’s alcohol and/or drug use.

Determination if dual diagnosis issues are present and coordination with community service providers if applicable.

Substance abuse workshops for employers, employees, and community organizations.

Participation in system of care coordination, i.e. doctors, treatment providers, inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community fellowship programs
